It has been a busy few days with Monday, August 7th visit to Shady Oaks Camp in Homer Glen. Some of the campers have attended this camp for 70 years. The girls were a great success.

Our Newest Pet Partner Teams
On Saturday, August 5th five of our loyal team members passed with one of the girls as a registered Pet Partner Team. Lots of hard work and practice go into making a team. Humans need to pass the Handler course first and then the test with the mini. Congratulations to our newest Merciful Mini Handler Teams: awarded Pet Partner Therapy certificates after successfully completing coursework and evaluations! We’re proud of you!
Training for Mini Boys
Today our one year old mini boys went on a training outing to help gain exposure to many unfamiliar people in new surroundings. To complete Pet Partners requirements, therapy horses must be comfortable with young and old and demonstrate good manners in a variety of situations. Our little boys were perfect gentlemen as they were greeted by guests from Ohio and Germany!
Tomorrow our mini girls will undergo team evaluations with several volunteers interested in becoming certified Pet Partner Team Handlers. We are so thankful for the many volunteers who support Merciful Minis.
